I would love to tow this behind my motorhome. is it possible to set up an electric for this purpose. We travel thru out the country  with our tow vehicle 4 wheels down behind the motorhome. but we could save so much by having an electric or hybrid  instead of a gas vehicle. Plus it would be fully charged when we arrived. and most campsite have electric included in the camp fee .

BMW has some smart people maybe they can figure it out and I would put it on my list to buy!

You cannot tow the i3 without causing serious damage. Do not attempt.

Mary: Nice clean quick answer.  I am wondering if  you can back that up with solid data.  As an Electrical / Electronic Engineer, it seems to me to be a no brainer for towing on all 4 unless BMW didn't do a good design.  Perhaps it is a tracking issue.

Regards,

Gene

OOPS, see Trailering under Charging.  If the brakes are on, serious damage would result from towing.  It still seems that there should be no charging with the key off, but who knows.  Remember the old das when things were simple.
